Wildlife Conservation

Wildlife Conservation is at the heart of everything we do here at Woodside Wildlife Park. We have over 200 animals and 70 different species; many of which are part of carefully managed International Breeding Programmes.

We are proud to be full members of BIAZA (British & Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums) and EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquariums), and play an active role in the conservation of many of the world’s most endangered species; from raising awareness of the plight of these species in the wild, through to actively breeding carefully chosen individuals at the park, we work closely with many zoological collections across the UK and Europe.

Woodside also strives to ensure that the continued growth and development of the park is not detrimental to the local flora and fauna, and we actively support numerous conservation projects for our native species.

The links below will provide examples of what we do here in the park and also in the wild…
