Tigers

We currently house one female tiger, Julia, who came to Lincolnshire, to live at Woodside in 2014 as part of a rescue project to remove her from the circus industry. The enclosure she lives in is purpose-built for tigers, with a mixture of open spaces to run, platforms to climb and a large pond to swim in.

Now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, Julia likes to spend her time doing what cats do best, sleep!

Sumatran Tiger - Critically Endangered

If I Wait Patiently, They Won’t See Me

Woodside has been accepted into the international breeding programme for Sumatran Tigers. Our long-term plan is to house this species in order to contribute to the worldwide conservation efforts to save this critically endangered species.
