Secondary / Higher Education
Woodside Wildlife Park provide a large number of educational visits for secondary schools, universities and colleges from all over the country. These visits are an opportunity for students to tie-in course-based observations and understand the practises and methods carried out in Lincolnshire’s only EAZA accredited animal collection.
Generally these visits are unguided, as this provides students and tutors the opportunity to schedule their own visit, based on the needs of their course. You will be allocated one of our friendly experienced zoo keepers, who will meet and greet you, deliver a simple safety briefing and act as your point of contact throughout the day, should you require anything.
At the end of your visit a “Question and Answer” session with our experienced keepers is an opportunity to provide students with any additional information they require to supplement their study programme. For example, course-based queries about licensing, enclosure design or anything species-specific, right through to simple information and advice about how to find employment in the zoo-keeping industry.
If you have any specific questions you would like answering, please let us know when you book your visit. We will ensure the right team members are available on the day to help.
